The Oklahoma City Philharmonic opening gala starts the season off with a classically intimate program, ranging from Mozart’s horn concerto to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1. The first two pieces on the program are by Biber and Gabrieli and spotlight antiphonal (played alternately between two groups) brass. Set in the theater, audience members will experience a renaissance surround sound experience featuring our own principal horn, Kate Pritchett as guest soloist.
