“A place of love and comfort for 300 homeless dogs and cats, 20 acres of big blue skies – we believe that forever means forever.”

Free to Live Animal Sanctuary is a non- profit, non-kill, stray animal sanctuary. They house, help and better the lives of homeless dogs and cats and they are the largest no-kill sanctuary in Oklahoma. Animals that they rescue are treated with care and love and Free to Live then helps each animal find a forever home; although, due to extreme conditions or medical needs, some animals may stay at the sanctuary permanently and live within a compassionate environment. Free to live provides many animals with a second chance at life as well as a second chance at love. Their staff and volunteers are committed to spreading the joys of companionship, rescuing and love to all people and animals.

Edmond couple, Bill and Pat Larson opened Free to Live Animal Sanctuary on August 7, 1984. They began their sanctuary on 20 acres of land in north Edmond, OKLA and have saved and changed many lives since.

Funding

Funding for the sanctuary is done strictly through generable donations and contributors. They have options to give as a one-time donor, monthly gifts or becoming a sponsor for a cat or dog. Each donation is used directly to help all of the animals with a better future.
