Meet our Yay Dude OU and OSU Sports Reporters

When we launched Yay Dude earlier this summer, we knew we wanted to bring our fans news directly from the community so when football season approached, we hired two college reporters who are both seniors at their respective universities. Meet Bedlam broadcasters, Kaleigh Tingelstad from the University of Oklahoma and Karlie Stafford from Oklahoma State University. My name is Kaleigh Tingelstad. I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma. I am majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in sports management. I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. This past summer I worked as a political correspondent in Washington, DC with Gaylord News. I work on OU Nightly, which is a student produced newscast. I have worked in multiple roles from behind the scenes to producing to anchoring. I have also worked on Gameday U, which is a student produced version of College GameDay. I also work on Sooner Sports Pad, which is a nationally televised student produced show. As you can tell, I am a big sports fan. Along with that I am a huge cat lady.

I’m Karlie Stafford from Oklahoma State University where I am a double major – Sports Media & Marketing. I would love to be a sideline reporter once I graduate, but I would also love to do social media/ PR for a professional sports team. I have been involved in Women in Communications Club, written for the O’Colly, anchor for The Poke Report and now am currently the President of Pioneer Media, which covers anything and everything Stillwater High School football. My passions are anything sports related, talking to people, and social media.

Favorite holiday: Christmas Eve!!!
Favorite local eatery: Seven Brew in my hometown (not an eatery, but the most delicious coffee place ever!) or Pressroom in Bentonville!
Favorite game day tradition: I love homecoming!!!
Favorite thing about your university: How everyone is so sweet and genuine. It feels like home here!!!
