“Dress for Success Oklahoma City supports and empowers women to achieve financial independence and success in their personal and professional lives.”
Women they serve are on paths to enter the workplace and become financially secure. By providing professional attire for upcoming interviews, they help women feel confident on their journey to secure employment. They also commit to their purpose of serving through enabling women and providing them with a support system to help reach their full potential.
We celebrate Dress for Success’ mission that provides professional attire, a network and development tools that can encourage and help women excel in personal growth and professional success.
Meet Executive Director Necie Black:
Necie Black works along side of amazing volunteers, staff, board members and more who are all committed to each client’s success. Necie is living her purpose of serving and being the Executive Director at Dress for Success as she has a deep connection and understanding for when others may need a helping hand.
“I believe it is our ability to meet clients where they are and help them see their beauty and potential.”
-Necie Black, Executive Director
For Necie and the clients that she serves, it is not just about the outfit, accessories, or even resume and career conversations; it is about boosting their confidence to create a life they want.
Funding for Dress for Success comes through grants, sponsorships, and generous community partners, and their largest fundraiser; More Than a Dress Gala. Due to the pandemic and rebuilding their building space after a fire on May 31, 2020, they were unable to host their gala last year. So they are excited to host it this year and are also currently searching for table sponsors and items for the silent auction.
Support Dress for Success at their 6th annual More Than a Dress Gala on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. For more information on this event, click here.
You can also support Dress for Success OKC by volunteering. They are looking for volunteers with flexible schedules in order to help meet their growing influx of clients. For more information on how to volunteer click here. They are also looking for an intern, as well.
