Erin Meier, owner Erin Meier Aesthetics and Prime Line OKC recently visited the Apple Capital of the world, Ellijay, Georgia with her family. Located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, they say this is now a go-to vacation destination so let’s check it out.
With many fun things to explore, they were mesmerized by the beautiful lakes, waterfalls, lazy river and vineyards. They also have a tourist-friendly, cute downtown area with great shopping and amazing food. Popular attractions include:

Erin and her family plan on visiting Ellijay again in the fall to hit the peak time of the apple picking season to enjoy a fresh, fall treat and another beautiful getaway.
Ellijay, GA is a little over 850 miles from Oklahoma City and can be reached by a direct flight from OKC to Atlanta, following with an hour drive north to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The town is considered to be ‘charming’ and ‘welcoming to visitors’. Summer highs average 84 degrees while evenings are a cool 64 degrees. Learn more at ExploreGeorgia.org.
